That mom is literally only having her son transition to get at the dad. He needs to bitch about it as much as possible and take it to as high as he can go in the courts. Screw spending 5K a month so your ex wife can abuse your kid. Spend it on getting a legal team together

This is disgusting. That poor child. And the poor father. The fact that this wicked judge, Mary Brown, is allowed to make this ruling is disturbing. Why isn’t the government of Texas passing legislation to ban the transing of children?

Texas has a constitutional limit on how long the legislature can sit every two years and their leg. doesn't reconvene until Jan. 2021... the governor could call an emergency session to try and pass a law but I fear the overreaction nationally would be far more destructive...

That is fucked up. Also, why is there a constitutional limit on the legislature sitting to make laws? We don’t have this in Ireland.

Some US states have it to prevent the legislatures from going crazy with spending money and writing laws. Texas has a very limited government and a strong budget surplus, and they want to maintain it. It can be annoying in situations such as this, but overall it probably prevents more issues than it creates...

Can't anyone save this kid??? This is so fucked up!

Why is there no explanation for why this judge made a ruling without a hearing?

A woman tried this in England a few years ago and lost custody to the father.

How in the name of God is a conservative state like Texas allowing this to happen?

Because while texas may be overwhelmingly conservative. the cities like dallas are not. Lots of people from californa moved to texas to get away from steep housing costs. And anyway family court in the entirety of america is screwed up

So even Red States aren't safe. If you're divorced, your kid isn't safe anywhere if the other parent wants to transition them.
