"I would fucking die if I had to go through that every month. Trans men are the coolest dudes I can think of"

Not the 99% or women who deal with it...no.. the coolest are just the men who menstruate lmao

[–][deleted] 31 insightful - 1 fun31 insightful - 0 fun32 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Or the women/girls forced into "menstrual huts", the homeless women who struggle with access to sanitary products, or the girls who have to skip school because of period poverty. ONLY THE MEN!! /s

I forgot what the book it was, released in 60s or near that time. There author wrote that if Menstruation was affecting men, then it would be praised as something cool and manly, and men would be measuring who bleeded more this month.

And that post is literally that. "So cool that men can every month live through that! So strong and brave!". Ignoring women who are doing this for millenias completely.

Women (and by extension, males who are too feminine) bad.

Women = femininity, hence why women with penis exist.

Only manly man macho good.

"Man" with periods good. Woman with periods bad

You mean r/transSubreddit#99999?

I'm kind of bothered by how stereotypical it is, though. Like the muscle-arm image and "bro BRO BRO". You can't make someone a man by invoking a bunch of gender stereotypes.

I think this puzzles me most about the transgender rights movement, actually. They say that gender is innate and an inner feeling. So why on earth do they look to outside validation? If it truly comes from within, then no amount of external validation in the world will make you accept yourself. It is like me saying, "I need everyone to tell me lots of nice things about myself and then it'll be easy for me to feel validated." When really, it is going to be hard no matter what for someone to accept themself.

Forcing others to use your preferred pronouns.. if gender identity was really "innate" and independent of cultural influence, then why would people using your preferred pronouns make a difference?

edit: Also, to be fair, straight non-trans males calling each other "bro" doesn't make them any more of a man, either, lol.

This point has been made over and over again from the beginning of this mess, but I'll say it again. Pronouns are used most of the time when the person isn't even there. (Especially on the internet, nobody's talking about you, you're not that special. Nobody needs your damned pronouns.) When you're talking TO this person, you're going to be using you/your/yours (unless they start demanding the thou/thee/thine pronouns next...)

And being compelled to use stupid pronouns when the person isn't even there because you know some of the other people present will overhear you and report back that you committed a pronoun crime.... It's such controlling and toxic behavior.

And... "preferred pronouns..." since preference is a choice (just like genital preference) why can't these people just choose not to make life harder on everyone else and just use normal pronouns?

[–]reluctant_commenter 15 insightful - 1 fun15 insightful - 0 fun16 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah, the controlling aspect is a reason why some of them might insist on it. Makes sense. The "reporting back on", lol, I've seen a lot of that.

(unless they start demanding the thou/thee/thine pronouns next...)

If I ever run into a Pronoun Nazi, these will be my pronouns, and I will demand they use them.

[–]MezozoicGayoldschool gay 5 insightful - 5 fun5 insightful - 4 fun6 insightful - 5 fun -  (0 children)

My pronoun will be "Your Highness", "Their Highness", "Their Highnesses". Just because I have the highground.

[–]notdelusionalbased faggot 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

That's a really good point. It's like they have an unhealthy obsession with what other people think of them 😂The complete opposite of confidence. I keep saying it... these people have extreme inferiority complexes and this trans stuff is simply a coping mechanism.

[–]blackrainbow 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Keep in mind a lot of them are simply teenage girls

[–]insta 20 insightful - 1 fun20 insightful - 0 fun21 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They say that gender is innate and an inner feeling. So why on earth do they look to outside validation?

A lot of their movement can be boiled down to "find me attractive".

It's really that simple in a majority of the cases. For sure there's people talking about housing rights or some shit but a vast amount of the trans agitation is about outward appearances.

[–]Criticallacitirc 33 insightful - 1 fun33 insightful - 0 fun34 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Not only are you a man having a period, you're even more of a man than regular guys because they couldn't take it 🙄

"My boyfriend just got his period stopping implant thing removed (idk what it's called, sorry) and I say this to him when it's that time of month for him. " My first thought this sounds like an online relationship, reminded me of when I had "boyfriends" from message boards 20 years ago. Sure enough, looked at this person's post history & they are 15. That's the insanity of it all. Half the time these people are literal children.

[–]insta 19 insightful - 1 fun19 insightful - 0 fun20 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It's such a pathetic cope. They think if they just "own" their own absurdity it somehow makes it less absurd. These people deal too much with abstractions.

[–]fuck_reddit 10 insightful - 4 fun10 insightful - 3 fun11 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

"Period stopping implant"... so like, hormonal birth control/an IUD? I'm not amazingly well versed in women's reproductive health, but isn't that just an IUD?

[–]notdelusionalbased faggot 5 insightful - 4 fun5 insightful - 3 fun6 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

"I tell my girlfriend lies so she'll feel good about lying."

[–]thecandyman 5 insightful - 3 fun5 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

Don't IUDs last 10 years? why would a teen need to get them removed? Unless the fifteen year old is dating an adult. Which is a different issue?

[–]artetolife 29 insightful - 4 fun29 insightful - 3 fun30 insightful - 4 fun -  (7 children)

I'm surprised there aren't more MTFs in the comments whining about how jealous they are that they don't get to share this womanly experience. Also, isn't that kind of condescending? I don't know what it's like to deal with periods but I have some occasionally debilitating pain issues and this kind of thing would just piss me off. I don't want to be praised and called brave, all I ever ask for is patience while I can't do the stuff I normally do.

[–]DimDroog 23 insightful - 7 fun23 insightful - 6 fun24 insightful - 7 fun -  (0 children)

I don't want to be praised and called brave,

That's because you aren't a narcissistic crumb bum.

I think a great deal of these trans people are narcissists.

[–]MezozoicGayoldschool gay 5 insightful - 5 fun5 insightful - 4 fun6 insightful - 5 fun -  (2 children)

how jealous they are

They are proud that they don't have periods and that they can't be proud, my ex-boyfriend who became trans-identified male (literally) under the homophobic pressure from society - started saying that he is the better woman because he have "all benefits of a woman" like beauty, and have no periods and can't get pregnant which is a big plus.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

I've seen plenty. Some even fetishize our wombs and want to get them fucking transplanted!! It's a creepy fucking fetish.

Only real men have uterus linings that slough off once a month.

Obviously.

[–]LasagnaRossa 14 insightful - 1 fun14 insightful - 0 fun15 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

And they even get offended if you tell them that.

Basically the words man&woman don't have a true meaning anymore.

[–]AnokiFrench 19 insightful - 3 fun19 insightful - 2 fun20 insightful - 3 fun -  (1 child)

Yeah men on their period , it doesn’t even exist

[–]MezozoicGayoldschool gay 4 insightful - 5 fun4 insightful - 4 fun5 insightful - 5 fun -  (0 children)

I am very surprised that none of them yet applied for that award of "first man who will gave birth will receive 1 million dollars as a reward".

[–][deleted] 15 insightful - 7 fun15 insightful - 6 fun16 insightful - 7 fun -  (0 children)

I particularly like this one:

Just because you have a period doesn’t mean you aren’t a man! Stay strong

They have to support each other in their shared delusion.

"it's so manly to bleed for a week straight and not die! It's called menstruation for a reason!!"

Thanks I'll remember that the next time my pussy is leaking blood.

Note to men on their periods

men on their periods

Water is dry! Down is up! Words mean nothing and everything simultaneously.

Wow that might just be the first time in months that an r/LGBT post even used the word gay... Edit: wtf is that, that is the least manly post I've seen. WTf is "chocolate-murdering"??? Cause Idk any real guys that do that...

[–]8bitgay 8 insightful - 4 fun8 insightful - 3 fun9 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

Holy balls I needed this. Nonbinary here

Interesting how someone who identifies as nonbinary (so neither man nor woman in theory) needs to be reaffirmed as a manly man.

[–]Canardyyy 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

If any male where to get their "periods" they should get checked out. That's a horrible sign for any disease.
