They're just making shit up at this point. And most tumblr asexuals aren't asexual. The amount of times I've seen an "asexual" on tumblr I've found a previous post about them gushing about how hot someone they found someone is staggering. But don't worry, with that comes olympic levels of mental gymnastics to explain how a person can be sexually attracted to someone and yet still be asexual. Also a lot of these tumblr "asexual" types are just homophobic. Like complaining that gay men are kissing each other at pride and calling it "asexual oppression" homophobic.

I've seen tumblr 'asexuals' argue that it is possible to both initiate and enjoy sexual intercourse to the point of orgasm and still be 100% asexual. I don't even begin to be able to understand that 'logic.'

It's like "demisexual" in that most people I've seen use it have a very very poor understanding of how sexuality works in other people. Listen to them and you'd think normal people were just down to fuck at the drop of a hat.

This is what annoys me. It's a blatant open door to anyone "declaring" themselves to be "LGBTQIA+2SABCDEFEIEIO" and act like them being told they're not "kuweer" is the same as legal disputes re: my marriage and adoption rights... (honestly, you can tell how legit a movement is by their goals: civil rights and gay rights? Voting, equality under the law, education etc. and marriage, adoption, employment, housing, etc. rights. Trans movement? sex, validation, feelings, cosmetic surgery, off-label drug use etc.)

Whenever I see shit like this I roll my eyes. As asexual I can't imagine how someone does it and still keeps the asexual label with no issues. I'm not interested in sex and I'd never initiate it.

These people make it harder for actual asexuals to accept themselves. Speaking from my own experience. Anything related to asexuality is focused on validating so called demisexuals and gray-sexuals even if they are just normal "allosexuals" (aka people who experience sexual attraction).
