Yeah I had a similar mental speed bump because as a child I created an idealistic life path then puberty comes in and starts forcing attractions that run counter to the goals you had built as a kid.

Same. At her age I had a rough year thinking "what do I do for the rest of my life now?". No marriage or adoption in those days so everything I thought I would do just got wiped off the table.

It's scary to think that if I was born just a few years later, I might've been convinced I was trans. There are times even now that I wish I was a woman, because it would be so much easier to find a guy that would actually be interested in me. If I was younger and more impressionable, I feel like that alone could've been enough to convince me, just like so many other children out there

The thing that annoys me is how much toxic behavior goes on in the alphabet soup community that makes people want to not be in their preferred relations ship and how much the community overlooks it. They are then called homophobic because they don't want to deal with the drama of huge age gaps, U-haul lesbians, bizarre BDSM fetish's, and the list goes on. This poor girl is almost 14 and her only experience of seeing LGB relationships is probably some non-binary woman dating a transbian who has done zero transitions but still demands female pronouns because their facebook icons is some underage over sexulized anime cat girl.

What I'm getting at is I wonder if this girl has ever witnessed a just plain old vanilla boring lesbian couple living their lives as people? I wonder if the lack of normal LGB relationship role models is what is causing her internal homophobia.
