That fucking “comphet masterdoc,” which was by a 21 year old who doesn’t know anything about sex or life or what the fuck she’s talking, about needs to stop existing before it “helps” anyone else come to completely insane and harmful conclusions about themselves. Jesus Christ. This poor woman is going to need a lot of therapy for all of the self-traumatizing she’s going to do to herself. This is exactly why that nonsense made me literally sick while I was reading.

So I just went and found the master doc and read it after that huge discussion thread about it on s/Lesbians, and wow...That is some...Thing. All the 'references' were tumblr blogs, which made me lol.

They devoted the smallest section to “attraction to women,” too. My buddy pixels and I went through it like loooool. She hadn’t read it before, but said it explains a lot of online weirdness she had seen in various wlw places on reddit in the past.

Imagine an entire 30 page doc that women are shouting from the rooftops as “THE key to understanding their latent lesbianism” having BARELY ANY legit info on actual horny for women stuff?

It was all about man-attraction. The attraction to WOMEN part basically says you don’t have to want to fuck women. Lololol. WHAAAAAAAAT? That should be the main choice. There is the whole fucking-women aspect to lesbianism that I find important, but you-do-you-and-never-women, ladies. Lol.

To me, the most relevant part was gender issues. Lots of young lesbians are deeply conflicted with gender crap because comphet actually makes us think men are the ones who want women this way. And that is DRAMA for a lesbian body. Even for femme lesbians. They should have gone into the many ways a young lesbian can feel wrong about womanhood, like a pervert, like a fraud, like she’s nuts, shouldn’t be a woman, hates her own body, etc etc etc, but instead it’s mostly how every attraction to men is fake, but no attraction to women is fine. Lol. OKAY

And the poor bisexual women reading it omg, i am pre-emptively sorry their lives are gonna be harder after reading all that nonsense. It’s basically eliminates the possibility of being bisexual for any woman who is also into women. Lol.

Yeah, the list was so long, but the one thing that should have been on there, being a female who is exclusively sexually attracted to other females, was not only omitted but explicitly called out as being unnecessary.

They should have gone into the many ways a young lesbian can feel wrong about womanhood, like a pervert, like a fraud, like she’s nuts, shouldn’t be a woman, hates her own body

Yes, the absence of having the understanding of how it feels to start experiencing sexual attraction to women whilst also being a woman is quite telling, isn't it?

Yeah, it basically left out all of the lesbian awkwardness and clearly not having exclusive attraction to women is the most important of all. I figured maybe they just left it out because the women reading don’t understand what attraction means or are confused but it’s not that complicated. Your body does things for women. Everything else is the complication. But the body generally knows and we don’t listen to it. (This is barring trauma and stuff that can cause a persons signals to get mixed up, or turned right off)

It's because it was written by someone who believes that being a woman is a feeling completely de-coupled from the female sex/female bodies.

I think this is one of the consequences of women not being seen as sexual beings with sexual agency. I think these women are not expecting sex to be a big deal as a lesbian because they don’t think we fuck. Lesbians have way higher expectations than some dude and we are a lot harder to please in bed. I can’t imagine how any woman would believe she could be a lesbian without being attracted to the female body. Lesbians literally report the highest level of sexual satisfaction in terms of orgasms, of ALL women. not only do you need to be attracted to women, you have to be GOOD, and you have to know your own body.
