Gender bending already existed long before so called genderfluid. But you don't hear Annie Lennox going around with new pronouns. Heck, don't Japanese rock musicians sometimes dress up to play on androgyny to express themselves and to please the fans. I think it's called visual kei. Gackt comes to mind.

I just consider genderfluids to be narcissistic and tiring. I am not going to ask someone their pronouns every half hour ffs.

It's great to me that you mentioned Annie Lennox! I'm old enough to remember when she appeared on MTV at some live event in full Elvis drag (yes, kiddies! Someone did it before lady gaga!) People were shocked and offended by Lennox in man drag singing "Who's That Girl?", just as they were freaked out by Boy George in full glam makeup a year or two earlier. BUT! In the 1980's nobody doubted or even questioned for a second Boy George or Annie Lennox's actual genders!

Lennox, Prince, Bowie—hell, all the hair bands—Boy George, Joan Jett, half of Duran Duran, so many others who were easily GNC. It was just what they did. It was nearly routine. Not knowing history does not eliminate it, but kids are naturally vain in thinking that they are inventing or that they've discovered things which preceded their entire existence.

takes a bow. I like music a lot. I love Annie.

I didn't know that about Annie. That's cool! Heh, let the snowflakes be offended. hehe

The 80s were saner in some aspects. Then again 2020 seems to be really speshal. headdesk.
