As sad and ridiculous I find males who claim to be women, I find females who claim to be men much more annoying. I've been wondering if this has to do with being homosexual because I sense that my straight buddies are much less bothered by the females and I get the sense that lesbians find the males claiming to be women much more annoying.

Maybe it's just me but curious if anyone else sees this the same way?

As a gay guy I personally find transwomen to be the most insufferable. The way I have seen them treat my lesbian sisters amounts to nothing less than fucking evil. Also how they demand to be included in women's only spaces (which women have fought damn hard for) is insidious. It's only recently I've notice the transmen come out of the woodwork.

It took some thinking, but I find MTFs worse. Not the HSTSs, but AGP MTFs. I'm a bisexual woman, so it's safe to say I'm not someone they'd shove their "girldicks" at; after all, I'm not validating to their identities. But... and sorry to all the fine gents here, but I find unknown men unnerving if for whatever reason I happen to be alone with them. And MTFs (potentially with AGP) ping very loudly in my danger radar. I also sympathise very much with the plight of my lesbian sisters, so these MTFs threatening them are my primary concern for that reason as well.

This is not to say I'm not worried about FTMs. I am. It's appalling what's happening to young women in the Western world, and I'm angry that they're not much better than MTFs when it comes to infiltrating homosexual spaces. I hate this phenomenon both as an older woman hoping to safeguard young girls and as an ally to gay men.

As a female, I find them both to be equally as obnoxious although I acknowledge the male ones are physically more dangerous. I see a lot of radfems and gencrit people defending transmen and non binary females because they're female, but they're, in many respects, just as bad for women's and LGB rights.

This. There is a ton of ugly misandry in the GC community, to the point of some of them being best described as femcels. It often blinds them to the reality that the large amount of straight trans-identified women are also largely driven by a fetishization of homosexual couples and that lesbian trans-identified women are attention-seeking and aggressive a-holes just as much as any trans-identified man, and not the innocent poor helpless manipulated lesbians they often want to paint them as. A single look at r/askgaybros right now will instantly prove that.

I know this is a tough pill to swallow, but I really agree with this. Women are humans. They are not innately more "wonderful" than men, and they are not immune to abusing people or power. I say that as a woman who has been abused by women, and who is trying to learn to be proud of being a woman. We 1000% are the disadvantaged sex in terms of how we have been treated, and simultaneously, at the end of the day we are just humans.

I kind of wonder if it is a sort of benevolent sexism going on, or maybe just personal bias of the posters. I will say, I do think there are a lot of misguided, nonviolent female transmen, who were pressured into transitioning. But saying none are contributing to the problem in a coercive fashion is not reflective of reality.

I can understand why GC women wouldn’t want to turn their back completely on transmen because transmen often still experience the same struggles as they had before transitioning and many transition because of sexual trauma or discomfort with the pressures caused by femininity, so on y know all that sad stuff. But there reaches a point where you gotta let these women learn the hard way, they can’t escape their oppression so easily. If they ignore the problem , then there’s no helping them. You can’t help someone who doesn’t want help.

I've seen GC women try and imply that transmen are almost never an issue because of female socialization and it's just not true. Or I see them say that it's MTF trans people who are at fault for various problems when in reality it is FTM ones who are the problem.

And yeah I feel bad for some of them and GC should support them because they have female needs but if they refuse to admit they are female and attack things like the female symbol on pads or get people banned off Twitter for posting the true statement that only females get cervical cancer or harass gay men they should be getting the same criticism as MTF creeps pretending their dicks are feminine.

I have respect for any trans or GNC person who can acknowledge their biological sex and act accordingly.

Not the commenter you responded to but, maybe an example would be Buck Angel or Blaire White. Someone who does not pretend that they have the biology that that don't (e.g. a MTF saying they are on their period when they have no uterus). Someone who acknowledges that they are their biological sex, even though they try to appear like the other biological sex. Someone who is comfortable admitting that in conversations about gender, they do not have the same experience as the gender they tried to pass as, because they were socialized growing up as the other gender (at the very least). Views trans as requiring gender dysphoria / mental illness component. That sort of thing, is my guess.

That's fair although "presenting" as having the opposite biology still seems inauthentic. I mean, it's like a short person standing on hidden stilts but willing to acknowledge they are actually short. Or say a white person who has surgeries and takes drugs to appear as a black person, but willing to acknowledge they are actually white. I dunno... isn't a fundamental part of acknowledging truth, the embrace of it?

Directly speaking, you are correct. It is not reflective of reality. The interesting question is whether or not this is a reasonable solution to the mental health problem of gender dysphoria-- which is indeed real and well-documented. I have kind of wondered whether CBT or some other evidence-based therapy treatment might prove better for gender dysphoria, especially if gender dysphoria is a result of a) discrimination-related trauma (e.g., a gay man who is bullied for being feminine, a masculine woman suffering from a high degree of internalized misogyny) or b) other trauma, particularly sexual assault.

It may be that all of this-- people transitioning, experiencing gender dysphoria, etc.-- is some combination of trauma symptom expression and other forms of mental illness. The limited research evidence so far suggests this (e.g. the startlingly high rate of personality disorders among trans people-- why is it so much lower for LGB, if they are compared to us?).

But, who knows. I believe that including mental illness in the discussion is an important first step and that's why I am inclined to be sympathetic towards trans people who are bringing that to the table-- even if they still are being "inauthentic" in regards to their presentation. At least some of them are just trying to navigate the world as best they can, I think.

Yeah, what I mean is that if someone considers themselves trans and that's a personal choice for them and they don't demand to be seen as the opposite sex or acknowledge their own sex, then I have no problem with them. People can do what they want so long as it doesn't hurt others. Like transwomen like Fionne Orlander or Rose of Dawn or transmen like Mars on twitter (forget the exact name sorry) or Buck Angel. I would still have problems with the entire idealogy of what they're doing but I would at least respect them enough as people to let them do what they want. Sort of like, I disagree with what some religions believe but I don't have a problem if they don't hurt other people and keep to themselves.

Ah, yeah; I have seen how many are given the benefit of the doubt and assumed be naive, confused, or have internalized misogyny to excuse their actions. But there are probably a fair portion of them who are just not kids anymore and really should know better. They are fully aware of the liberties they are taking by inserting themselves into homosexual spaces like they are and pulling the trans card. It's almost a bit of a gender stereotype when you think about it; the infantilization of women.

I'm most put off by transwomen as a gay guy, mainly cause of the trans people I know, I'm only really close to a girl that has recently "come out" as a trans guy and is already invading gay spaces before even attempting to transition... also I know more about her personal life and I know that this isn't going to end well for her...

I don't want to share too much, cause I want to maintain her privacy, but in HS she was a lesbian whose entire personality became "I am so gay" and it was off-putting to me then, but it hadn't become her entire personality... now she's gone to college at a university that is deep into the trans dogma and it's consumed her... I think she definitely has internal issues with the fact that she could be a lesbian, either that, or she's bi and has created such a persona of "being gay" that she is afraid of not being "entirely" gay... either way, I think transitioning is about the worst thing for her...

I am a gay man, and I find trans women more obnoxious. Yes, I've only interacted with one trans person in my life, but look at the internet and you will come across a plethora of examples of transtastic transwomen:

  • Theryn Meyer was formerly part of the YouTube Skeptic community until he lost more of his sanity and became too much even for them. Which is saying something, because the Skeptics are off their rockers.
  • DavidDavina Sherratt has done enough stupid shit to warrant two Mister Metokur streams.
  • Blair White lashed out at someone for assuming he was a liberal. He thinks he's a conservative just because he knows there are only two genders and voted for Donald Trump in 2016. And he hung out with Shane Dawson, who is an utter creep. Blair has no personality outside of being trans. He’s one of the saner MTFs, so I'll give him credit for that. But he’s still not sane, because if he was, he’d just live his life as an effeminate twink. But then again, Joey White might not be his boyfriend, because Joey probably has not yet admitted to being bisexual yet.
  • Stefonknee, whatever he calls himself, abandoned his wife and kids to live as a six-year-old girl. Lives with an elderly couple who let this 50-something-year-old literal manchild play with their grandchildren. Despite identifying as being six, Stefonknee takes it up the ass from his "adoptive father", so he has ageplay fantasies as well.
  • Kat Blaque, who won't admit that he's just a self-hating gay man.
  • Super MA'AM, who had a meltdown in a GameStop shop and threatened assault when an employee said 'sir'.
  • Bruce Jenner, who got away with manslaughter.

There are fewer examples of transtastic transmen. I mean, there is Chase Ross, who is an obvious basket case. Buck Angel is probably a nice person and understands that she's female, but she does porn. There is that transman who was on Tiger King, and she seemed chill and sane compared to most of the other characters on the show, but he opted to amputate her mauled arm as opposed to spending months in hospital letting doctors repair it, which wasn't a smart move.

To sum it up, I find transwomen to be more batshit insane than transmen. Although this could be the result of women being more likely to identify as non-binary than as the opposite sex compared to men. To be fair, I don't go to LGBT spaces that much, not in the last three years, so maybe I could have a different perspective on this topic this time next year.

You could be right about Buck Angel. She seemed nice in those interviews, but those are the only videos I’ve seen of her. And people were entertaining her delusions in those interviews. But she is certainly not a reasonable person - she does porn! She wants to be known for receiving Australian kisses on camera from bisexuals who pretend they are gay men or straight women - though maybe some of those people she’s had sex with were gay men and straight women who were strung out on drugs. Not a far fetched presumption to make, because drugs are common in the porn industry.

Super MA’AM is definitely a nutter. And he is somebody’s father as well. I’d say Stefonknee could give MA’AM a run for his money, because Stefonknee abandoned his kids. Although, if my dad were to become a trans woman, I’d stop talking to him. But at least MA’AM doesn’t pretend to be a little girl with fantasies about getting defiled by a paedophile. AGP MTFs are far and away the worst. Actually dangerous. HSTS are usually okay, except the Twitter trend of angry black HSTS spewing vile racist hatred at black women. Straight FTMs are becoming increasingly obnoxious. The lesbian ones I tend to identify and sympathize with because that could've been me... but there's a point I just nope out. All of it is still harmful to gay people, even when the people caught up in it are victims.

Yeah, I find transwomen far worst. But I'm not sure whether is just because they effect lesbians, or because transwomen are effectively far more toxic. Like it is all "transwomen are women",transmen are ignored. It's a male movement centered around the dick. Transmen are far more quiet and less, especially the type of perverts, there is no real comparison to autogynephiles.

      Not in an of themselves. To tease out the root cause of the problems leading us into the temptation of generalization: I find narcissistic abusers and other manipulative purveyors of delusion (much more than just) annoying. All of them. Just as has occurred with the white supremacists who have found each other, there seem to be a fuckton who have discovered they have a new stage on which they can play out their own shit and get away with it who are trying to speak for all trans people now, and therein lies the current problem. Someone blew a dog whistle and the wretched of the Earth all came running (I am sure we can all figure out who one of those dogwhistle-blowers is, but it's a repeating, propagating phenomenon as the groupthink takes hold among like-minded people).

      Any trans person who understands biology and is minding their own business, just trying to figure themselves out and get through life, and not trying to bully or violate other people's boundaries or redefine other people against their will is okay by me. I know some of those people and have for decades. They are not in the current group doing all the damage. They are the people we were trying to help welcome and protect despite the fact that being trans is not the same as having a minority sexual orientation. I'm pissed that the current crop of nutjobs is managing to turn me against an entire group of people who used to mostly not be like this at all.

      When people addicted to awful behavior find each other online or offline, the consequences are never good. They reinforce each other and that makes it easier to keep being shitty.
