LGB ErasureTrans moderator drives lesbian out of an L&B women's group for sharing a 'transphobic' cute couple photo with her girlfriend

I am in shock. I’m in a social media group for lesbians and bisexual women of my ethnicity. Today the moderators posted that the word “auction post” (like “here is my friend, who would like to take her on a date?) is now a banned term because it refers to slavery and AAVE (African American vernacular English, slang terms originated by Black Americans) are also banned. When one women commented that most people using those terms didn’t mean any harm, the trans mod responded aggressively, saying the woman was disrespectful and furthermore her pending post was problematic. The woman was very confused, saying she just wanted to share a picture of her and her girlfriend, with the cute story of how they met, but after continued harassment by the moderator left the group. The mod insisted her post was transphobic (without evidence or clarification), called the woman a fucking blockhead, and further attacked the woman for referring to herself as a masculine dyke, which is 'problematic'.

This mod doesn’t have a profile picture, surprising since most trans women in the group have profile photos and are complimented for them. I suspect this mod will always look like a man, and not an attractive one either, and is venting frustration on women in the group who step out of line.

Mods on any type of platforms, who are not payed for their job but rather it's part of their hobby, tend to be extremly egocentric, thinking they're better than others. Seriously, it happens all the time.

Add 'trans activist' to the mix with 'mod' and you will have a Hitler like figure with power to silence others.

I'm not black and I'm not white, and I don't even live in America anymore so I don't really have a horse in this race but... Doesn't banning AAVE feel like the exact same thing as segregation, but with a different excuse? Instead of 'we don't want whites and blacks mixing' it's now 'out of respect for black people, we don't want blacks and anyone else mixing.' Like................I don't even know what to say. What happens if a lady joins your group and she's half your ethnicity and half African American? Will it be against the rules for her to talk/type how she normally talks IRL, because, you know, 'out of respect for black people?'

Also............ I left /r/LGBT a million years ago because the flood of trans people posting photos of themselves was getting too much. This was way before the true tsunami of Trans insanity crashed upon our shores. Now they have the nerve to be offended by one couple's photo??? This is not cool and the people enabling them are just as guilty. (That's not me low-key pointing the finger at you, I know you can't do much by yourself against a power-hungry mod, I'm more blaming the other mods and other women who have power in that sub allowing this shit to continue.)

These kind of people who rant about how everything is racist are almost without fail misrepresenting what actual POC think on a specific issue. Ironically, they are just speaking over people of color and making racism harder to talk about.

Take the AAVE thing for example. AAVE is just a dialect of English. Most African Americans do not care whether or not you use slang that was coined and spread by the black community. In areas where the black population is high you will often find non-black people of all ages using AAVE, or "talking black" to use a less accurate but common euphemism. No one bats an eye. No one cares. People are not going to tell you to stop talking like that because it makes them uncomfortable because that's a ridiculous demand to make.

What many black people do feel uncomfortable about or object to are the ways AAVE gets treated. Making fun of the dialect (in extension making fun of black people), claiming AAVE is proof black people are uneducated (despite AAVE following its own clear grammatical rules), non-black people taking black slang and pretending they're the ones who coined it (which is different from just using it), and other unfortunate trends. On the less serious side black people sometimes make fun of the cringeworthy misuse of AAVE. But due to internet games of telephone and the race to seem the most woke for clout all these different things became "if you're not black don't use AAVE because that makes you racist." The actual issue is completely obscured. Complex conversations that have been taking place in black American communities for decades have been watered down and misrepresented. Usually by people who aren't even black themselves. People who know no better continue sharing the false versions of "consensus" on how not to be racist.

Anyway, the mods in the post OP's talking about are definitely powertripping hard. Auctions for dates and other things like that clearly have nothing to do with any form of slavery. People just want an excuse to get offended over every little thing so they can look morally superior.

Reminded me Cyberpunk 2020 and 2077 writter Michael Pondsmith. Woke activists started saying that "voodoo boys" group is very racist and not showing PoC correctly in that universe. And, gladly, writter of that universe is a black person, so he went in Twitter and crushed all critics with "I know better what is racism than you, white nerds".

I have to say, the line "Don't use AAVE if you're white " Sounds a whole lot like "White people speak proper English, not that" The former being "woke" and the latter being something a white supremacist would say.

They should have never been let into lesbian spaces in the first place. We can't compromise with them. They'll always slip into the narc rage and jealousy because they can never be what we are, and it makes them hate us.
