I'm sorry, but, they do realize gay men are a lot more than just cruising sex club stereotypes in porn right? Porn that is overwhelmingly consumed by, and produced for, women? Just like lesbian porn is largely consumed by men, stats (last I checked) indicate gay porn is mostly consumed by women.

I was curious about your claim, so looked it up and found that PornHub compiled some statistics: https://www.pornhub.com/insights/girls-like-boys-who-like-boys

Women are more likely to consume gay porn than men are (not a big surprise given that most men are straight), but only 37% of PornHub's gay porn viewers are women.

These stats are from 2017.

Regardless, I don't think you're wrong--stereotypes about gay men are ubiquitous. Though take one look in any of the usual LGBT communities and you'll find that they're fair game for those stereotypes.

To be frank industry porn of any orientation is pretty disgusting to watch and hear. Nobody has sex like that and it's really off putting. I'm personally not into porn, but I know many women who love gay porn. I've talked about it with some of them, and they've told it's not only because they think it's hot, but also because they don't like how women are represented in porn. Also, many of them don't like seeing an avatar of themselves in degrading situations (which is very common in porn that has female actors). Well, I was more referring to standard industry purchases. Porn websites like pornhub have more regular content made by just regular gay men, and that's a lot more focused on the visual sex than any porn noises. I don't know how else to explain it - industry videos know where their bread is buttered just like the industry does with "lesbian" videos. I know most lesbian friends I have hate them, and I don't know any gay men who watch the professional stuff either for the same reason. Also because of the disgusting stuff and stereotypes they do.
