The fact they think TERF is an insult 🤣 I LOVE the guy’s response “I’m not a feminist” LMFAO

And they actively deny that it is a slur but use it as such

If gay men assume trans aren't going to eventually be attempting to colonize their spaces with homophobia in the name of "inclusiveness" then they've learned no lessons from exactly that having repeatedly happen to lesbian women.

[–]hellonumpty 13 insightful - 1 fun13 insightful - 0 fun14 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I think a lot gay men haven't looked at lesbians and learned from them because lesbians were/are painted as hysterical women with ''dick trauma'' who are making up that trans women are invading their spaces. A lot of people just take that and run with it without actually looking into it. Then don't realise the truth until it happens to them.

I don't want to be pedantic, but "Lesbian women" is an oxymoron.

[–]Revision10Just a guy 40 insightful - 5 fun40 insightful - 4 fun41 insightful - 5 fun -  (1 child)

redundant *

lesbians are women, "transwomen lesbian" would be an oxymoron

Ah, I stand corrected, thanks.

[–]PainfulTruthsMatter 20 insightful - 2 fun20 insightful - 1 fun21 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah, but it felt weird writing "gay men" (cause gay can sometimes refer to homosexuality of either sex) only to just write "lesbians" at the end. Really, I should have just written "women", period, since trans people are invading women's health spaces and policing their language ("menstruators and cervix-havers"), not just lesbian spaces!

[–]fuck_reddit 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I say “lesbian women” sometimes, almost exclusively though when i say “lesbian women and gay men” because otherwise it sounds like im saying there are lesbian men and gay men.

A tautology I think, is what you mean, haha.

[–]Ossidiana 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Well, I think they aren't wrong in assuming the TRAs may hesitate in colonizing the gay subreddit. I mean..... the lesbian subreddit was about women, and the TRAs are all about hating women. A gay subreddit is about men, and are the TRAs courageous enough to actually fight other men? I don't think so.

[–]fuck_reddit 8 insightful - 2 fun8 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

They are definitely trying rn, but the gay men are getting more and more aggressive as the TRA's goals become clear.

They're "white cis gays," they're the ~oppressors~.

I didn’t want it to happen to gay men but I did wonder which group the transcult would go after next.

They simply want to erase biological sex and have gender be the default.

Lesbians, bisexuals and gays don’t play that.

[–]Rosefield 12 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 0 fun13 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

After gay men it't probably bisexuals. So r/truebisexuals is on thin ice and r/bisexuals might get overtaken by trans people.

[–][deleted] 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I would bet they are already working on that. It all makes me terribly sad.

[–]shveya 24 insightful - 5 fun24 insightful - 4 fun25 insightful - 5 fun -  (0 children)

I've just come back from sorting the posts by "new" on that sub, it was a fun time! The straight ladies on T are really letting their homophobic entitlement fly all over the sub.

[–]Criticallacitirc 23 insightful - 1 fun23 insightful - 0 fun24 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

TRAs are purposely doing this to get the sub banned.

AskGayBros is going down the drain. They've been heading in this direction for more than four years now. It was fun while it lasted.

[–]oyasuminasai50 14 insightful - 7 fun14 insightful - 6 fun15 insightful - 7 fun -  (5 children)

Are 90% of their mods trans yet?

[–]BenderRodriguez 20 insightful - 8 fun20 insightful - 7 fun21 insightful - 8 fun -  (1 child)

There's actually just a single mod who is completely hands off, so pretty much no comment gets deleted. So it's super easy to go into that sub and terf things up ;-)

[–]xanditAGAB (Assigned Gay at Birth)[S] 9 insightful - 2 fun9 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

I upvoted you in the trans threads lol

There is no moderation on that sub. Which is the only good thing about it. But give it time. AGB will be forced to moderate the sub on the pain of getting banned. And I bet those new mods will be trans.

[–]ThiccDropkickGay 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I don't even think moderation will help at this point. The TRA's have decided the sub is transphobic and must die. Only a matter of time now. My only hope is that its ban will provoke a bigger and more mainstream backlash

I love how they talk out their ass with the "plenty of" sentence.

Mate if plenty of people were dating trans y'all wouldn't be complaining every second thread about "exclusion".

Studies don't lie especially ones that have been done lots over time and have not changed at all!

[–]nbailey73 22 insightful - 1 fun22 insightful - 0 fun23 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

I think honestly their biggest problem is that the majority of people don’t want to date a trans person. They are trying to label it however they want to label it. I’m a gay man. I want a dude’s body, mannerisms, and genitals. Most people who are gay I assume hold this same stance. Most lesbians I assume want a true woman. And bi people the same. The rest of them are all confused for all I’m concerned and their problem is simply that they are being rejected and are complaining, calling rejection “hate speech.”

[–]Seahorse 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

100%. It's rejection, self hate and projecting.

It's very sad because these individuals need a good psyche not drugs.

[–]insta 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I love how they talk out their ass with the "plenty of" sentence.

Also "open to" is not a very high bar. I've had a crush on a trans man before (I moved cities and actually do kinda regret it didn't go any further) and I am technically open to dating trans men but a large of that community comes with so much baggage that the good ones are so few.

[–]wicklesnarf 20 insightful - 1 fun20 insightful - 0 fun21 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I recognize that "troller of terfs" flair. And I've noticed in so many of those threads, the bulk of insane replies are one or two people just making a shit ton of comments. It's a small comfort, but it's a little heartening to see evidence it's a (very) vocal minority

[–]shveya 22 insightful - 3 fun22 insightful - 2 fun23 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

That woman has been all over the sub, harassing gay men. I’m glad the guys are telling her about herself.

insert condescending, passive-agressive, factually incorrect thing here + (incorrect use of smiling emoticon)

[–]Lessom 13 insightful - 1 fun13 insightful - 0 fun14 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

TRA are largely homophobic. They want to shit stir and cause a division within the community. Then they can be like look we face so much transphobia when people respond back.

[–]MyPrblms 12 insightful - 2 fun12 insightful - 1 fun13 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Holy shit it's a mess in that sub right now. Reading threw those threads literally hurt.

[–]MarkJeffersonTight defenses and we draw the line 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The Tracists have trained their big guns on it and will bombard it until either sinks or surrenders.

[–]Stand 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Idk if it's allowed to say it in reference to what they were saying but fuck, they should have just said it. These people will threaten to kill you but can't even bring themselves to say a slur on a subreddit/website because they might get banned from it and either can't afford/are too impatient to get a vpn. They're cowards.

[–]insta 5 insightful - 3 fun5 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I have come to realise that a lot more people identify as gay and straight who are actually somewhere in the middle of the Kinsey scale than I thought.

I mean, "I'm straight but I'd bang a dude if he looks enough like a girl" isn't straight any more than "I'm gay but I'd bang a girl if she looks enough like a guy" is gay.

Lots of people clinging to the desperate belief that they're straight or gay when they're blatantly not.

If anything it should provide those people the the introspection required to appreciate that they're not actually the sexuality they identify as, and provide trans people with the reassurance and comfort that, just like 'the rest of us', there are people who will be open to relationships with them and those who won't.

Welcome to real-life, enjoy your stay.
