I freaked out this evening when I went on Reddit and saw that r/LGBDroptheT was gone. It truly hit me that freedom of speech is starting to become an issue on Reddit. Anyways, I’ve been a huge supporter of this cause for a while now and I’m glad we are still here 1000+ strong as a community (this is bigger than my hometown, so to me this is a large size) :)

I think the censorship there was apparent for a few years now. I guess it's just more recently kicked into overdrive, and peaked a bunch more people.

The killing of Floyd has started a string of censorship and I really do not like how this event was used to further the even more divisive and extreme agenda of the far left.

I am so glad I saved the link. Can’t believe the sub got nuked. My heart sank when I went there today. You can’t even have polite dissent anymore it seems. What’s wild is my next YT vid was all about the rational, insightful discussions I’d had on LGBDTT. I guess a quick amendment is in order.

This level of brazen censoriousness continues to show how vitally important speaking up for our rights and belief continues to be. We have trans women running “actual lesbians”, female authors and trauma survivors being told they don’t understand what it’s like being a woman, and gay men being groomed from flamboyance to hormones.

This is fucking bullshit and I won’t stand for any of it.

So many young "trans" people are actually just gay. :/ Transing away the gay. So much of the movement is really just homophobia.

I saw a documentary about transsexuals in Iran where it is illegal to be gay. If you want to "transition" to the opposite sex, though, the state will pay all the costs. A number of the individuals interviewed were so sad -- they admitted being gay men and thought transitioning would allow them to live openly in a relationship with a man; instead, they are rejected by men because they are transsexual.

I was pretty devastated too, but I feel like we're slowly recovering. To be honest, this new site is working out better than I'd hoped.

I found by doing a Wayback Machine Archive of the subreddit before it was deleted and I think I saw it posted somewhere before the ban and followed the link here.

I Googled "Drop the T" and set the time parameter for only 1 month and this SaidIt group was in the results. Without the time parameter, all the results I got were posts saying Drop the T is transphobic.

I was crestfallen when I saw the group was deleted on Reddit. Glad we are here. Hope we can't be kicked out, here... We need a stable place to build this community.

I never even looked at LGBDropTheT on reddit. I only checked it out when truelesbians was also banned. It's so refreshing to see so many gay men and bisexuals joining up together too. Gives me so much more hope!
