Doesn't answer what exactly makes homosexual homophobic in 2020 as opposed to 2019, like can they give an example of offensive use?

Yep. Zero explanation why heterosexual and bisexual aren’t offensive, but homosexual suddenly is. Also, there’s zero context as to how homosexual is used offensively. What a time to be alive.

It seems like it's an attempt to be hyperwoke. I believe (though could be full of shit) that homosexuality and heterosexuality used to refer to being hypersexual towards the same or opposite sex? But clearly it's been a long time since that was the case, and no one I've ever known has thought it was offensive. Gotta get those woke points, though.

I don't think they've had that definition in over a century, but yes, that was the original definition. Even heterosexuality had a connotation of something abnormal.
