I'm a detrans female and it is distressing to see people repeat over and over again in the twitter comments that "very very very few" people detransition. TRAs are obsessed with saying that JKR is "weaponizing" us, yet it's only their comments that make me feel ashamed and unseen. It's disgusting to see just how many TRAs are comfortable with detrans people being collateral damage in the "treatment" of gender dysphoria.

I'm so sorry that there are so many people de-legitimizing your experience. It's absolutely despicable that you're just considered 'collateral damage.' I don't understand these people at all. So much fucking cognitive dissonance in their reasoning.

And then they cry and have us banned whenever we invalidate their identity. They're 100% hypocrites with an agenda

Long but excellent article!

JK Rowling's Twitter is a mess as usual. The people rushing over to say "OMG just staaahhhhp!!!" really should feel ashamed of themselves. They want to silence literal women to keep their TRA overlords happy.

I felt so bad reading this article. But this is one of the reasons I refuse to stay silent. This is the future of so many trans-identified kids, teenagers, and even adults, and if challenging the TRA narrative out loud will make even one such individual stop and think, it's worth risking the censure.

My admiration for her continues to grow. I had some arguments in the comments of an r/Edinburgh post where her handprints had been vandalised. It was mostly the same old bullshit about the feelings of trans people, but in the end some of my comments actually had positive upvotes so I hope I opened some peoples eyes. Now I’m just extremely exhausted.

The overwhelming responses from the trans-crowd? "Shut up", "Go away" and "I hate you now". An occasional "We support detrans too! (but with lots of caveats)".

I've scrolled and scrolled and scrolled and not a single argument. Sure, it's twitter, how smart can a response possibly be, but the ones siding with JKR at least manage a thought, noting that it's support for women in general, encouragement to not back down in the face of the backlash, things like that.

Where are all the base "STFU TRAs" comments from this hateful hateful crowd of awful transphobes? With thousands of twitter-likes?

I can't read past the introduction because of a paywall, but the intro I could see did have some important details: TRAs will prioritize indoctrination of as many people as possible ever any kind of quality control or even allowing their failures to be known.
