Yes trans women are men and trans men are women, suck on that reddit lmao

There is no such thing as "trans" women or men. There are only women and men. Women are female and men are male. They know this, which is why they are iterating toward the redefinition of female and male, but I think by the time they fully get there it will be too late because there will be a broader backlash against radical leftism by then.

tbh this shouldn't be made about leftism. you can be a total communist because for some reason their theories convinced you more than other economic theories, and still be able to acknowledge that men and women are different and that your sex can't be changed (with our current technology)

More people will drop the T when they realize this doesn't automatically make them right wing or even actually hateful of trans people.

[–]notdelusionalbased faggot[S] 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

Solving for a problem requires honesty. Transgender activism is firmly established on the far left. I've seen posts on the old sub where people were trying to claim it was actually right wing, but the facts don't support that.

So we have a bit of an uncomfortable "intersection" for some people here. It's part of discovering that life is hard. It's okay. You can be for all sorts of left wing concepts whilst at the same time not being for the transgender one.

[–]Archie 13 insightful - 1 fun13 insightful - 0 fun14 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Transgender activists are a subset of the radical left. You wished for a "broad backlash against radical leftism". This is far too big of a generalization and this the kind of message that make people accept trans activists more, because some think the only alternative is joining the right-wing.

Left vs right wing issues in general are much more important than trans activism, so people will pick the side of trans activists if they believe they have no other choice.

[–]notdelusionalbased faggot[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Nah. I don't have to wish for it, I'm simply expecting it. Only the exceptions will think they need to pick one extreme side or the other. I'm expecting a broad backlash against radical leftism to bring the consensus closer to the middle.

The US at least is much farther to the right in terms of socioeconomic policies than other developed countries.

[–]Bogos 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

To some extent I agree, but overriding feminists is not a progressive concept. They steam rolled through their agenda using conservative definitions of gender. But yes they accomplished it with the Lefts willingness to accommodate every “minority.”

How intersectional of them.

lesbians are women who like women. gays are men who like men. bisexuals are people who like men and women. there are two sexes. biology is real. science is real. the earth is round. well, spherical actually. the earth moves around the sun.

EPPUR SI MUOVE.

I'm a long time lurker, never commented in years of Reddit, just wanted to say you guys and the other subs were a breath of fresh air. I'm sorry for the ban.

[–]Canardyyy 19 insightful - 3 fun19 insightful - 2 fun20 insightful - 3 fun -  (4 children)

Yes. Let’s have real conversations with out their fragility.

Im just annoyed now that I have to split my time between two sites because a lot of the artsy fartsy stuff I do or get motivated by are on Reddit. 😫

[–]materialrealityplz 11 insightful - 1 fun11 insightful - 0 fun12 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

It's tough to sacrifice stuff, but getting rid of Reddit from your life is really for the best.

[–]Canardyyy 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It us for the best right now. But I dont think because of my hobbies I’ll be gone for long.

[–]NiceDickBro 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

You’re not alone, I don’t think anyone who was a big user can just drop everything they did on reddit like it was nothing, but at least we’ve made the effort to drop it and migrate away, won’t be long before this place starts to replicate everything that was good about reddit back in the day, and fingers crossed none of the tiring bullshit

[–]Ricky_Ticky 19 insightful - 1 fun19 insightful - 0 fun20 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

I think we should have more LGB focused conversations and just ignore T. Not being the first topic on the agenda is what T can't stand. We have ourselves and our platform now. Why don't we act as if T has been dropped already?

[–]notdelusionalbased faggot[S] 15 insightful - 1 fun15 insightful - 0 fun16 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I disagree. Ignoring a problem is worse than confronting it. I mean, the original purpose of this sub is to dissociate with the T, so you sort of have to bring up the T in order to do the analysis. And the T hasn't been dropped in any meaningful way as we're constantly being bombarded with its attachment.

[–]Ricky_Ticky 13 insightful - 1 fun13 insightful - 0 fun14 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

In that matter I agree with you. I am just getting so sick of T here and T there and miss the good old days when we could just be gays and talk about gay stuff, discuss gay dramas and make gay jokes

[–]ThiccDropkickGay 18 insightful - 1 fun18 insightful - 0 fun19 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

since the need to tip toe around reddit fragility is no longer necessary?

I think now more than ever we need to keep it civil. Even though we're unlikely to be banned, let's still remember that even though we disagree with a lot of the trans movement, we are all still people

[–]notdelusionalbased faggot[S] 24 insightful - 1 fun24 insightful - 0 fun25 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

It had become ridiculous over there. The mods had their hands completely tied to the point that anything more than the weakest criticism of the trangender concept wasn't allowed, which was independent of a civility factor.

[–]haveanicedaytoo💗💜💙 23 insightful - 1 fun23 insightful - 0 fun24 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

What's amazing to me is that Reddit didn't even communicate with the mods of these subs. For example, the mods of /r/detrans had no idea that there was an organized raid against them until it was too late. And the moment it was banned, a Redittor called Bardfinn tried to snatch it:

https://kiwifarms.net/threads/tranny-sideshows-on-social-media.33028/page-1312#post-6887156

He's apparently a shit stirrer, but I don't know much about him.

Thankfully /r/detrans is back for now, but their days are numbered too...

[–][deleted] 29 insightful - 4 fun29 insightful - 3 fun30 insightful - 4 fun -  (4 children)

FartBinn is one of the most despised mods on Reddit, maybe even more than Gallowboob.

He's a trans-identified male, and the primary acting mod of AHS and MassTagger (and several other subs). He constantly lectures users in a sanctimonious way about their wrong-think, and openly endorses attacking groups that disagree with his beliefs using blanket black-and-white policy instead of nuance and discernment and discretion. Meanwhile, he also claims and endorses that blanket black-and-white policies of other groups is "harassment" and "hate speech".

What a piece of shit, trying to claim r/detrans

[–]haveanicedaytoo💗💜💙 12 insightful - 3 fun12 insightful - 2 fun13 insightful - 3 fun -  (3 children)

LOL FartBinn. He must be bad news if he has a nickname! He probably spearheaded the campaign to get our sub banned too.

[–][deleted] 15 insightful - 1 fun15 insightful - 0 fun16 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

I'm an r/dramatard ... even if you care for nothing else in their sub, the creative ways people get around banned words is hilarious. I stole "FartBinn" from them, not gonna lie.

They cannot say his name anymore because, just like Gallowboob, Admins are on their backs since apparently even mentioning his name with his public behavior is "harassment". Oh, and he's got a lawyer, dontcha know.

Oh fuck me, what a fucking cesspit of a website. Why do they give these people this kind of platform?

Every day I miss that website less and less

JHFC, how fragile these weeping willows are!

Act like swaggering studs online, get the vapors when the least bit of disagreement wafts towards them.

I wish them a life time of slippery floors, and inexplicable thumbtacks in shag carpet.

[–]Breadloaf 16 insightful - 1 fun16 insightful - 0 fun17 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Hello folks. Just dropping in to say that, while I disagree with some of this sub’s consensus, I don’t think you should have been banned. The trans issue should be continued to be debated and I worry what will happen now that one side of the debate has been silenced. I worry most about young lesbians. I’m glad I don’t have to raise a kid in the current state of things.

By the way, how much longer can reddit get away with presenting a fragile morality while at the same time being a pornography clearinghouse?

Given its pornsick clientele, probably a good while longer.

I am just happy to have a place to just be the person that I am. I never deliberately try to harm others. I am just a woman that has a sexual orientation for other women. No apologies, no pretending.

Jesus christ, I cannot fathom how much I loathe what Reddit has become. It's full of teenagers and college freshmen on power trips, redefining the words "hate," "transphobia," and "literal Nazi" every 5 minutes. Thank god there's an alternative. This is where I will stay.

[–]el-sol-duerme 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I went through r/lgbt, a subreddit I never subscribed to and visited, and I feel absolutely awful for this community. I was a teen in the early 00s when my classmates would hurl the word "gay" as a pejorative. I was 100% with gay rights as I saw it was just a group of people who wanted basic human decency. Now the whole trans madness has devolved your community into a freakshow. These people don't represent you.

Hey there ... we still don't allow "trannies".

C'mon man, there's literally 5 posts in this sub, one of which is announcing the rules and how that one hasn't changed.
