I am a customer of Meridian Botanicals they are a well known Herbal shop for many years. Kratom source on Reddit since 2016.. Thanks for the heads-up I will reach out they usually respond quickly to Email. UPDATE - Response to email was slow - Moved this vendor to 'LOW' status, along with SoSa. Many Vendors are getting a huge rush of orders, due to COVID-19.

Update: Meridian emailed me back yesterday first stating that they hadn't gotten my money and asking me to pay via Zelle, Google Pay, or eCheck (which is not the response I had gotten from them before I placed my order - they gave me a Paypal email that's different from the main contact email on their site. they did not mention Google Pay at that time). Then they saw my payment receipt and said they were "not aware that payment was made via Paypal," that they've been "extremely busy with Corona and handling emergency request orders," and told me not to use PayPal in the future.

I responded that I followed Meridian's instructions on payment and told them not to ship my order, just to refund me.

Meridian emailed back to confirm that the refund would be initiated, and then asked me to cancel my bank's chargeback investigation along with a guilt trip that if their PayPal account got cut off then they couldn't fulfill their 6000 orders for Coronavirus patients or something. Frankly, I highly doubt how true that is, and even if it is true, it's not my problem.

I'm very disappointed in this response from them on two counts - one is chastising me for using the payment method that they specified, and two is for making their fulfillment of their other orders somehow my responsibility. I still would have asked for the refund, but I would have at least been willing to order from them in the future once things calm down. At this rate, that's not happening.

yes idk why or how U paid by PayPal since it's not on their website? Long story I guess. Online vending for Meridian is very complex, since they sell many legal, NON kratom herbs (which would be OK for PayPal.) and.. they also sell kratom which is NOT OK for PayPal.. Payments are complicated anyway, the vendor wants to sell product, but many customers don't have Zelle, etc and almost nobody has Bitcoin. Meridian Botanical has been in business for years, I do believe they are swamped right now. That's no excuse but again.. kratom business makes it hard, no thanks to the banks.

PayPal is just bad news. I hope you please don't get the vendor involved with PayPal. Since PP is getting cut-off by Ebay this year, and with COVID etc it's a very very risky situation. Recommend for anyone: DO NOT leave any money in your PP account!!

I asked for payment options, and they offered Paypal so I didn't think it would be an issue (why would it be, if they're giving me the payment info for Paypal?). I did end up receiving a full refund from them and cancelled the dispute with my bank - I knew that since I paid with F&F instead of G&S that I couldn't file a dispute with Paypal so I didn't bother with that. If I had paid through G&S I absolutely would have filed a Paypal dispute. Again, Meridian's issues with Paypal are not my problem or my responsibility, and neither are any of their orders or customers.
