It didn't go straight to mass executions. It with stuff like, say, sticking badges on people, preventing other people from using jewish shops even if they wanted to go there etc. There are clear parallels.

yes, I agree. Holding the line against both sides of the false dichotomy that pushes fascist programs and tactics is the best way forward.
