My personal take on it is that if you have far-left friends that spout that vitriol, you're better off without them. Either they are persuaded or they can keep mentally jacking off on the thought that they are morally superior to others with their cohorts.

For friends or co-workers, it depends on how much you want to keep those relationships or the job itself. For strangers, how much you're willing to risk being murdered or subject to other violence.
