It's not that the people on /r/Conservative changed (AFAIK), it's that the progressive overlords banned or chased away all the principled conservatives and libertarians or caused them to leave voluntarily due to the moderator's constant pandering to the left, so that now the only ones remaining are the more woke variety. The same thing has been happening to /r/Christianity for years. I can't imagine a more tortured position to hold than to be a woke, progressive conservative Christian.

I've been part of that sub since forever, and it kept pandering and moving left. Soon moderates and libertarians were getting 'conservative' flair. Now the mods are literally welcoming people with a mental disorder. If that place lasts past the election, which it might not, it will be another sjw hell hole.
