I can't help but be reminded of a video I saw a few weeks ago on a similar topic, Blaire White talking with someone who was both detransitioning and regretted transitioning in the first place.
Perhaps worth a watch

It's hardly surprising that there's more of them. I suspect that the number of people regretting their transition will only keep increasing as more and more children and teens are allowed to make these kinds of life changing decisions.

It really does seem to be a growing thing, with the idea that it's forbidden to even talk about kind of falling away a little in recent months. While searching for that vid, I even saw something about a newsnight segment (or something like that) talking about the topic.
