Democrats FUCKED up with the riots in June for many reasons. First, they made racism in the US much worse in the foreseeable future and destroyed support for civil rights and minority causes. When the George Floyd incident came to light, everyone thought Chauvin should have fried and supported the protesters. Then they started attacking police cars in Minnesota, then they started rioting, burning buildings and attacked police precincts. Ok, you had your fun, right? Nope...let's go riot in other cities too...for days. Let's go harass old ladies who don't understand what they are doing wrong by saying "All Lives Matter." Let's go block highways and attack truckers, because that will end well.../s

Look at reddit. It's crazy. There are a lot more posters who outright hate BLM's guts. It used to be that most would automatically answer as politically correct as they could get. Almost like someone was pulling a string out of their back. Now...you will see people openly cussing out BLM, people who support it, they DO NOT care. This is pretty much having the opposite effect that was desired.

Number two, they just gave a lot of anti-Second Amendment supporters a very good reason to reconsider owning a gun. Not only did you have liberal mayors just completely give up on protecting their cities, they and their city councils decided to go one step further and DEFUND THE POLICE!!! I mean, that is outright insane! Let's not blame criminals for their actions anymore, let's make it easier for them to run wild! Many of the people in the government are no more intelligent or mature than they were as teens in the nineties! What, DeBlasio was out there spray painting Black Lives Matter on the road outside Trump's building in NYC? Wow, just wow.

So yeah, if you were looking to ban guns, sorry, ain't happening this year or EVER!

I agree with what you said mostly but the idea that people are doing something wrong by saying "All Lives Matter", is ridiculous. There should be nothing controversial about saying all lives matter, because all lives do matter.

And if they get this passed, what do you think is next? The Democrats don't want you to have weapons, to be able to defend yourself. Look at what has happened in St. Louis, the police raided the home of the couple that defended their home against BLM protesters. The police confiscated their weapons and then publicized it. Way to let the mob know they have disarmed their victims.

Democrats screwed up. No way anyone is banning guns for a while in the US. They just lost a lot of anti-2nd Amendment supporters with the government's incompetent handling of the riots and calls to defund the police. The right play would be to allow the police to do their job and handle everything so you can claim "ordinary people owning guns is harmful to the community." Now people are seeing they need to own a gun to have a fighting chance because the police aren't even allowed to do their jobs anymore.

Whats with presidents making promises they know they can never fulfil? Both sides are doing it. Any legislation Trump proposes will never get through the House of Representatives. Any legislation Biden proposes will never get through the senate. Focus on things they actually would have power over. Executive orders that won't get struck down by the supreme court.
