So here's the thing.

I love this song so much that I was actually inspired to expand upon the story. It's not completed but I've fleshed in an outline, backstories, etc into a screenplay. I have 2 main priority projects. I also have 6 other screenplays in development, for years, chipping away at them on occasion. This is one of them. The rest of my writings are just copious random notes and ideas, some just a sentence, some a finished short story. I'm reluctant to start anymore, and so far have been maintaining that, or folding new ideas into these 8.

I do NOT like country western music.

But I'm always open to exceptions. I have a decent sized playlist I call "Old West Ghost Town" music that includes country/western (I don't know the difference), western movie soundtracks, strum, twang, and wistful tracks.

I love this recording, despite it's flaws. Being a live recording it has talking, clapping, and while I like Emmylou's treatment, her wailing is a little harsh. That said, ONLY because of this version of the song I've listened to every other cover version I could find - and most of them suck. Badly. And there are a lot. This was recorded live at a Johnny Cash tribute concert, because he did one of the many versions. But this is the ONLY arrangement I love. Dave Matthews has even covered it in a different way elsewhere but it pales by comparison.

This is literally the only Dave Matthews song I know. He has a huge following but I don't know why. I haven't really been impressed by anything else he's done. If you know of some I should check out lemme know.
