They even are clapping wrong in this video. Eventhough she instructs them to clap on 2 and 4. Lfmao. I suppose it was made in Germany. Because i know only Germans clap on 1 and 3.

I'm sooooo not into country or western or even know the difference.

However, I have collected twangy stuff I really do love in an Old West Ghost Town playlist. Added. And it reminds me of some Mark Knopfler and one of the greatest producers of all time, Daniel Lanois, who worked with so many from U2 to Emmy Lou Harris (Wrecking Ball). I want to especially bring your attention to 2 haunting Lanois tracks: Bladesteel and Duo Glide, one is not on YouTube properly, though it's covered in a documentary.

No bother, chap. He does a lot of gear videos, but even those usually have a song at the end. He has another channel, Chords of Orion Long Play where he posts his 8hr sleep drones. I'll just fish out a couple more tracks of his. Long'uns but not hours long. Both about half an hour.

Last night that was the last thing I posted. This morning I glanced over his channel, but wasn't compelled to delve based on thumbnails. Now I have a couple. Thanks for those recs.

Sounds a lot like ambient Brian Eno, like the Dune Soundtrack.

They're not bad nor the best dancers - but they sure know the poi moves well that they know.

Deftones - Passenger (featuring Maynard from Tool) by [deleted] in JustDuet

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

[Verse 1: Chino Moreno and (Maynard James Keenan)]
Here I lay (Still and breathless)
Just like always (Still, I want some more)
Mirrors sideways (Who cares what's behind?)
Just like always (Still your passenger)
(Chrome buttons, buckles, and leather surfaces
These and other lucky witnesses)
Now to calm me (This time, won't you, please?)
Drive faster

[Chorus 1: Maynard James Keenan]
Roll the windows down
This cool night air is curious
Let the whole world look in
Who cares who sees anything?
I'm your passenger
I'm your passenger

[Verse 2: Chino Moreno and (Maynard James Keenan)]
Drop these down, then put them on me
Nice, cool seats there to cushion your knees
Now to calm me (Take me around again)
Just don't pull over (This time, would you, please?)
Drive faster

[Chorus 2: Maynard James Keenan]
Roll the windows down
This cool night air is curious
Let the whole world look in
Who cares who sees what tonight?
Roll these misty windows down
To catch my breath again
And then go and go and go just drive me
Home then back again

Stevie Nicks & Don Henley - Leather And Lace [1981] by [deleted] in JustDuet

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

[Verse 1: Stevie Nicks]
Is love so fragile and the heart so hollow
Shatter with words impossible to follow
You're saying I'm fragile, try not to be
I search only for something I can't see
I have my own life
And I am stronger than you know

[Verse 2: Stevie Nicks]
But I carry this feeling
When you walked into my house
That you won't be walking out the door
Still I carry this feeling
When you walked into my house
That you won't be walking out the door

[Chorus: Stevie Nicks]
Lovers forever, face to face
My city, your mountains
Stay with me, stay
I need you to love me
I need you today
Give to me your leather
Take from me my lace

[Verse 3: Don Henley]
You in the moonlight
With your sleepy eyes
Could you ever love a man like me
And you were right
When I walked into your house
I knew I'd never want to leave

[Verse 4: Don Henley]
Sometimes I'm a strong man
Sometimes cold and scared
And sometimes I cry
But that time I saw you
I knew with you to light my nights
Somehow I'd get by
First time I saw you
I knew with you to light my nights
Somehow I would get by

[Chorus: Stevie Nicks & Don Henley]
Lovers forever, face to face
My city, your mountains
Stay with me, stay
I need you to love me
I need you today
Give to me your leather
Take from me my lace
Lovers forever, face to face
My city, your mountains
Stay with me, stay
I need you to love me
I need you today
Give to me your leather
Take from me my lace

Dave Matthews & Emmylou Harris "Long Black Veil" by JasonCarswell in JustDuet

[–]JasonCarswell[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

So here's the thing.

I love this song so much that I was actually inspired to expand upon the story. It's not completed but I've fleshed in an outline, backstories, etc into a screenplay. I have 2 main priority projects. I also have 6 other screenplays in development, for years, chipping away at them on occasion. This is one of them. The rest of my writings are just copious random notes and ideas, some just a sentence, some a finished short story. I'm reluctant to start anymore, and so far have been maintaining that, or folding new ideas into these 8.

I do NOT like country western music.

But I'm always open to exceptions. I have a decent sized playlist I call "Old West Ghost Town" music that includes country/western (I don't know the difference), western movie soundtracks, strum, twang, and wistful tracks.

I love this recording, despite it's flaws. Being a live recording it has talking, clapping, and while I like Emmylou's treatment, her wailing is a little harsh. That said, ONLY because of this version of the song I've listened to every other cover version I could find - and most of them suck. Badly. And there are a lot. This was recorded live at a Johnny Cash tribute concert, because he did one of the many versions. But this is the ONLY arrangement I love. Dave Matthews has even covered it in a different way elsewhere but it pales by comparison.

This is literally the only Dave Matthews song I know. He has a huge following but I don't know why. I haven't really been impressed by anything else he's done. If you know of some I should check out lemme know.
