This is true in that the crescent and star was stolen from paganism. We should not be using these symbols. But Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his Companions never used these symbols, this was an innovation that was adopted hundreds of years later and should be abandoned.

You're right, but the guy is coming from a place of anti-Islam and kufr. The kafir has a point though. These were never our symbols. The fool is using batil symbols that we never accepted to justify his arguments.
