Another redditor moving over

Same username as reddit. Moving because I don’t want to support a company that doesn’t even follow its own TOS. I’m sick of power tripping mods and admins that go out of their way to make the site more advertiser-friendly by hurting their users.

Welcome! The arbitrariness of the enforcement of their rules is something that's always bothered me too. Especially when every sub has their own massive ruleset, but really at the end of the day the most important thing is if you pissed off a mod or not... it's not a good system.

I often wish I'd never heard of Reddit. From the start - for me - it was power tripping mods, over-the-top racism & sexism, and blatant bigotry. I deliberately lost the password to one account, then created another. Finally, I had enough and joined Tildes and Saidit, as I was having a bit of trouble with my own version of Reddit (too poor to get that going). Tildes isn't free of censorship so I limit my time there. I like Saidit, and hope it doesn't go the way of Voat (a despicable site).

As the saying goes, keep your friends close and your enemies closer. I like to see what kind of shit gets stirred up over there, so when I hear some idiot repeat it IRL, I have already formulated a response.

Same, moving from voat bc the topics are boring. I think they are mostly jewish people trying to make people say racist stuff against them so they have a reason to complain.
