Here it is
Are legends much more important than we realize ?
Examples :
Is it possible all of the Old Testament is just an amalgam of legends ?
Think what an impact that the following legends have had, recently
The Book of Mormon
The Pearl Beyond Price
Harry Potter stories
Milne stories
George R Martin stories
Frank L. Baum stories
Daniel Defoe stories
The Lord of the Rings
In each case, they are not only reflecting an older set of legends [ the Arthurian and Quest of the Grail cycles], and the Iliad and the Odyssey, but also the Decameron, the Canterbury Tales.
So then. wouldn't the reflection of the tales of the Egyptians, of Zoroaster, of the Vedas, of the tales and legends of the Sumerians, Assyrians, Mittani, Lycians, Luwians, Hittites, Urartuians, Ugarites, Akkadians, and Amalekites be a legitimate basis for the Old Testament ?
