ongoing troll attack by many new accounts daily, associated with an 'LXXX' guy, who is disgruntled over something

What a coincidence that these types always manage to find so much free time for things like this. Must be hard for them to divert all that time and energy away from their jobs, families, and self-improvement projects lol

m7 instead created the fuss by banning content for no apparent reason, resulting in a feud

It's that 'no apparent reason' part that's the issue. Was there anything in the mod logs? Short of him doing a writeup on any actions that get contested, we kind of have the choice of staying on his site or leaving.

I see trolls and shills that should be banned (imo) but aren't. Some say users were banned who shouldn't have been. I haven't seen actual evidence that m7 is unfair, so I can't say much about the banned users.

I will say out of reddit, voat, poal, and saidit, m7 is the most likable and fair commenting site owner I've experienced so far. Not perfect, but a net positive. Would be nice for Jason to get his friend back, if only so he doesn't 'go rogue' over it.

I'm confused.

/u/diogenesjunior was banned but he can still PM.

He created what I recall/thought was /u/diogenesjunior2 for a short while with verified PMs that it was him and it was banned by M7, then DioJr deleted that account - and I chastised him again for deleting/burning evidence, etc.

Now there's another /u/diogenesjunior2 ? I didn't think it was possible to [delete] an account and then remake it.

I haven't heard from DioJr in over a week or maybe two. I thought I'd hear feedback on my Monday protest posts, but no. He also hasn't seemed very interested in being proactive in a campaign to restore his account. I suggested he draft up a thank you to the people who have supported him. He said he PMed 2 people. I suggested he draft up other things to say to the people. He didn't respond with much. I asked if I could repost our PMs for all to see. He said yes, but there's not been anything worthy of posting that hasn't already been shared.

I can't even tell why he's not saying much in PMs. He doesn't even sound like the guy I used to know. I can speculate: maybe he's guilty, maybe he's ashamed, maybe he doesn't give a shit, maybe he's pissed, maybe he's over SaidIt, maybe he's got better things to do, maybe something else. Maybe maybe maybe.

Yes, mirror every post and comment, and/or decentralize and/or federate - all are good.

I haven't delved into their site nor culture yet. I'm trying to avoid taking on new social media. However, if they are more fair, open, and accountable with their social management systems AND if they mirrored everything from SaidIt, then on some levels little would be lost by migrating. On the other hand, unless everyone migrates then it's a whole new community with few familiar voices, and I simply don't have 2.5 more years to develop new bonds. Plus I need to start my own things soon.

more than just Jason's friend. diogenesjunior was a well liked user. He, like me, just were witnesses to theameliamay's arrival and general fuckery (now [deleted]) so i think that's why m7 was manipulated into banning him.

Literally FALSE There have been many other Reddit-refugee groups that have come, and some have stayed and some have gone, each with their own special brands of drama to some greater or lesser extent.
