Reddit has been a shithole for a while now. Except they now openly admit to the double-standards and selectively enforced rules people were accusing them of. After all the years of denying it, they actually put it in writing.
I wonder if these sites know this censorship will sink them, but they don't care.

That is why they do it incrementally, they think they will see the decline before it happens and they can pull back with the censorship and stop it. Then when the last measure becomes normalized they take it one step further. If Reddit turned into what it is today overnight it would have collapsed 10 years ago. As of right now it is still in the top 20 most trafficked websites.
