He posted a link to his Facebook livestream on 8chan /pol/, it was removed fairly quickly by moderators but that was the justification used to deplatform them.

IIRC 8ch tweeted it took about a day to remove the original post, and they also allowed links after the fact (in accordance with US law) to the shooting spree and manifesto. They were fairly alone in doing so as well. That also didn't kill 8ch, there were two copycat shooters back to back, and cloudfare eventually released a statement that while 8chan says its not lawless, they've created an environment where lawlessness flows freely. Ultimately as far as deplatforming goes, I really don't blame cloudfare for their decision. That was a heavy burden on their shoulders, and hardly 8chans first infraction on 100% illegal speech. People died, I would of have done the same in their position.
