I'm somewhere between the left and right. I was on reddit for 8 years. Today, I skimmed the front page and all and left after about 3 minutes. It's mostly trash posts now. It's just got worse over time. It reminds me of Facebook years ago. The censorship and gender/race based subs that are allowed to be openly racist was my last straw. The reinforcement of stereotypes is terrible. Reddit is trash. I'm sad.

Worst offenders for me were blackpeopletwitter, conservative, whitepeopletwitter and my last straw fraglewhiteredditor. Racist or not able to have a real conversation without being removed or banned. The bots annoyed the crap out of me too.

And while I'm not as far right as it would appear most of saiddit is, I'd rather be here with you assholes then on reddit with with zero integrity and experience racism with extra steps.

I'm the same, not really left or right. I'm certainly not radical anything. Reddit devolved to mainly shitposts awhile back but the 2016 election ruined that whole site. I hope this site will provide actual discussion even if neither side ever agrees.

Agree, 2016 was pretty bad for reddit. You could feel it start to topple over on its self. I think the Donald sub (wasn't a fan myself) exposed a lot of people to the idea that reddit is something they could change/control/censor. This idea has run reddit into the ground from every angle. It's not fun anymore.
