Used Reddit since 2013. The site is not what it used to be.

Hi all, over the years I've had numerous usernames on reddit, and I believe I first signed up around 2013. It's been pretty much a daily thing for me to go on there, but the site has just gone to shit.

Everything is political now. It sucks. It's always two sides against each other, and barely any meaningful discussion. The site has completely changed from what it was when I first joined. There are such extreme views on both sides and I really hope this place is a bit more level headed.

The recent mass banning of subreddits is just another nail in the coffin for that site. This place has interested me straight off the bat, and I love that it uses the old reddit design too!

Also, I can never tell if I’m talking to an actual person or a bot (human or digital)

Recently whenever I say anything slightly controversial on that site it seems like an army of bots come out of nowhere to argue. It’s from users that don’t even frequent my subs

I was there since 2012. It's definitely gone way downhill from the fun site it used to be.

Redditor from 2007 here. It's fallen so far in the last 13 years. It doesn't even resemble what it used to be. It used to more like news.ycombinator.com and have all sorts of interesting and thoughtful discussion. Reading it now feels like an assault on my senses and psyche

2010 here. Did I win? I first heard about it on Fark. Shows how old I am lol. Reddit hasn't really been good since the first migration to voat. it's been going downhill since then. hopefully this place won't go the way voat did. it had so much potential.

What is your opinion on Youtube? Have you started using alternate media platforms or not? It's wild to see how much Bitchute and other places are growing. Parler is exploding.

I use YouTube quite a bit. However recently I've blocked it on my phone as I was spending too much time on it.
