Thanks! Turns out your drums sub was one of the first I subscribed to. I'm not drummer (bass and guitar), but I have a drum kit, a bunch of hand percussion and timbales. I'm worse on timbales than the drums actually. I think there's just pressure because timbale players usually end up going crazy a la Animal from the muppets, and I can barely keep the cascara pattern going.

I think most poltical views are just people engaging in sloganeering, repreating things they heard. Rarely are people talking about direct experience or things they directly know about. When they do, and when they build off those, they can usually find a lot of agreement. I think there's an analogy to music there somewhere but I can't find it.

I agree with what you said about politics. As for s/drums, please feel free to post some music, articles, or videos of drummers that you like.
