Welcome, speak freely* here.

*as long as you follow the pyramid of debate from the ToS and don't get too much like reddit or voat.

I'm curious what kinds of groupthink and hivemind were you having troubles with, if you feel like saying more here.

The political side of Reddit just got...exhausting. I can't stress that enough. "Don't you dare have an opinion that's different than mine!" And it seeps into literally everything, every sub, every discussion. There was no intelligent discourse to be had, and if there seemed like there was, it fast became name calling and "internet arguments with strangers" but with longer words.

Not been here long, but I notice I tend to...it sounds silly, but I actually read the articles others post. If something is insightful, I vote it as such. I couldn't even be bothered to participate before. Whatever the difference is, it's good, and it's working. Hell, I even posted an intro and responded to a reply. Almost all I ever did on Reddit was be depressed and lurk.

Exhausting is the perfect word for the political side of reddit. It's like arguing with a wall. A wall that hates you, haha.

Welcome to saidit!
