The rationale is simple: they have proven themselves to be lawless and that lawlessness has caused multiple tragic deaths. Even if 8chan may not have violated the letter of the law in refusing to moderate their hate-filled community, they have created an environment that revels in violating its spirit.

This is complete bullshit.

If it's an FBI honeypot anyway doesn't this mean Cloudflare sticks it to the man by not protecting that shit anymore?

It was a FBI honeypot, so they should have stuck it too the FBI by some then for entrapment on their servers, or the like. Kicking then off is exactly what the FBI wants, so they can focus on a new target.

It is surprising to me Mnemonic, that an intelligent and worldly person such as yourself is duped by Cloudflare's PR statement. There is much more going on here, than this superficial script.

I know for certain that you know better.

I know 8ch and I can understand that companies don't want to work for and/or with it.

Not much except some company PR, cheap stunt for a lot of free like/publicity. Though as I said in my OP reaction to this blogpost: They should have done it way sooner and not as a reaction to yet another shooting.

"Free publicity" of the heels of multiple false flag shootings that have been deliberately been blamed of 8chan.

If this hoax shooting drill bullshit want being blamed on 8chan, then this wouldn't be an issues.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if this was actually some measure of retaliation from the FBI against 8chan for identifying them for their honeypot operations.

The FBI does have a history of covering up for elite pedo rings. Let's not forget the Whitehouse's (Bush senior) Franklin Scandal.

There are some within the FBI who are there to protect the pedos.

How do you know 8ch isn't all FBI driven in the first place? What even makes you think it's FBI and not CIA?

As there are some who use 'free speech' to post CP.

The owner of 8ch just released a statement: https://twitter.com/infinitechan/status/1158688643856420869 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKPdbEAmWGE explicitly stating how they work together with the FBI.

Good point. Who's to say?

In that case, are you going to support Cloudflare's attempt to kick your FBI buddies off of their platform?

[–]Mnemonic 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (14 children)

My FBI buddies?

Resorting to name calling is low and I don't see how my first reaction: https://saidit.net/s/Internet/comments/vva/cloudflare_terminates_service_for_8chans/1j26 would change significantly if it was any TLA's honeypot.

[–]Tom_Bombadil 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (13 children)

What? That's not name calling.

Do you have something against the FBI?

Don't you do your sleuthing thing?

[–]Mnemonic 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (12 children)

Insinuating I work with/for the FBI for apparently no reason: name calling

Politicians sometimes resort to “name calling” during political campaigns or public events with the intentions of gaining advantage over, or defending themselves from, an opponent or critic. Often such name calling takes the form of labelling an opponent as an unreliable and untrustworthy quantity, such as use of the term "flip-flopper".

And of course another insinuation out of the blue:

Don't you do your sleuthing thing?

Do elaborate.

Oh, that's rich, given you said:

Trolling is never encouraged as it is by definition retarded.

which insinuates that you were calling me a retard, since I'd said that I trolled.

hypocrisy, anyone?

[–]Mnemonic 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

Yes the act of trolling is retarded:

  • You read this as me saying "You're a retard"

  • I mean this: You acted retarded and this is not encouraged.

Reading Comprehension.

Piqued your curiosity, eh? ;-)

No, just calling out your bullshit ;)
