It is for maybe differing reason also viewed from a chemist's view. I agree.

But since natural gas is getting so expensive for peasant's right now, you have to look into electrolysis of water.

If you want some pure hydrogen, anyway...

It's likely that he's underestimating the social cost of carbon by putting it at $250 per tonne.

In 2018, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change suggested that a carbon price from $135 to $5,500/tCO2 in 2030, and from $245 to $13,000 in 2050 (2010 US dollars), would be needed to drive carbon emissions to stay below the 1.5 °C limit.

So he could easily be underestimating by a factor of 30 or 40.
