Switch to Petal, DuckDuckGo has long been compromised.

That seems preferrable to google or ddg. China has very little incentive to keep a close on eye on my whereabouts and habits or prevent me from accessing information the US government would rather I not see

I'd rather the chinese spy on everything I do than the people within arms reach 100% too, just saying it's a chinese firm, so it's a side swap rather than an upgrade.

Why would anyone use DDG these days? They destroyed their only value proposition when they admitted their collusion with Microsoft.

I'm open to suggestions, I switched to Brave search when DDG started playing the deranking game but the results weren't great and I ended up switching back. I also use Yandex sometimes.

They insert themselves to peek at your searches. I have to clear cookies, switch search engines, and restart Brave and that fixes it.

Why this is allowed to happen is beyond me, this is the fourth or fifth time I've had this issue.
