It's all of these goddamn javascript frameworks being used to turn web sites into apps. The problem is most websites aren't apps and don't need a frontend framework. End users end up suffering. Mobile users suffer. Poor people with bad connections end up suffering.

The sites I build today take just as long to load as the sites I built in 1999. It reminds me of Windows adding feature bloat such that you need a new computer every few years to even run the damn thing.
