Interesting, but Windows comes with screen snip and Linux users can download something alike, maybe the quality isn't as good, but it can suffice often.

This is what I do. Except if I need a high quality image from Flickr then there is a weird roundabout time consuming way of getting it. But it's so annoying, why can't these sites just let us steal their images? If we want it bad enough we are going to get it.
