I want to learn enough HTML and CSS to convert PSD to a real website.

PSD, as the Photoshop file-format?

Yeaaa! That's correct.

convert PSD to a real website

Okay, so what exactly do you mean by that?

  • A picture split-up into a header, sidebar, footer. Like an oldstyle website.

  • uploading and using the psd as image file?

  • something else?

Because maybe I can find a nice tutorial. HTML, CSS and even Javascript is pretty simple to read and thinker with BUT getting on real production level is something else.

The process: stripping the PSD file to HTML, slicing the PSD files into layers, and using the resulting images as the website's design elements.

It's going to be project-based, where the final project is a website based on the design file.

Ah I see, when I started searching a lot of tutorials popped up, so just put 'psd to html' in your favorite search engine and pick your tutorial. All of the ones I looked through get into the the html and css part at first glance pretty well.

https://www.w3schools.com/ is a great overall resource for html and css, for looking things up.

I also found this article: https://blog.teamtreehouse.com/psd-to-html-is-dead but that's more of an 'if you're interested and have nothing to do' kind of read ;)

Goodluck!

Rest in peace, PSD to HTML.
