I wonder how long before ISPs, CDNs, cloudflare, domain registrars, App stores, and major DNS servers blacklist and deny service to Bitchute for not being a left leaning censor heavy site.

You know it's coming it's only a matter of time. We need an expansion of net neutrality to apply to all the type of core internet services I've listed above. In the meantime pro free speech peoples need to create alternate services to them as much as possible.

i don't mind keeping ip numbers in my bookmarks file, but one thing i can't help them with is: payment processors.

if paypal, visa, mc, etc, stop processing electronic transactions for a site, they will have nothing but cash and crypto to rely on. very difficult.

Money orders and gift cards still work just fine, as does snailmail...everybody is just soooo addicted to the instant gratification of paypal, debit cards, and such BS. Either revert to the old, or find a new way.

Yeah somehow I forgot about major payment processors, they should fall under neutrality legislation as well.

The problem with this is while you might be ok with doing this the general public will not and that effectively silences a website.

I think so, I think they also have some ads at times but a lot don't wanna work with them because it respects free speech.

    If "visits" refers to unique visitors, then it's reporting about 2x what cloudflare reports.

    If "visits" means pageloads, then it's reporting about 1/2 of what alexa reports.

    Not sure exactly where they are getting the 40k per day number. It's all estimated anyway I guess. I guess the reality is somewhere between 11x and 110x :)

    SimilarWeb's "visits" are user sessions, I think.

    SimilarWeb calculates a visit (Session) for a website if a visitor accesses one or more pages. Subsequent page views are included in the same visit until the user is inactive for more than 30 minutes. If a user becomes active again after 30 minutes, that counts as a new visit. A new session will also start at midnight.

    Thanks, I guess that makes sense why the numbers are higher then because it resets every 30 minutes instead of every 24 hours like cloudflare
