I have a class at my university, where I am supposed to make econometric model explaining some happening in the world

Some people chose to show how suicide rates depends on various psychiatric health resources, some are making easy demand and supply models, I am making... Singlehood among men.

To describe numericaly singlehood of men I used "percentage of men who were raised without father", "percentage of men who were bullied", "percentage of young men going to psychiatrist", "number of social media accounts" and I wonder what I can use numericaly to show looks are main factor.

Any help brocels?

Maybe you can show the difference in tinder likes for men vs women? Blackpill your whole class brocel.

It won't work because it is not how you build an econometric model.

I am meassuring number of single men using some correlated variables with that, for example parenting problems, mental issues, social media growth etc.

If I could get a data of % of left swipes every next year it would work.

Or I know, even better - I will use difference between women and men left swipes for it, it might work.

But there is problem, my data is 1992-2018, and Tinder isn't that long there.

Tinder started in 2012 I think, so you can only start from there.

Yeah, 6 observation aren't enough and would fuck it up, especially when we know how stats changes during those 6 years and some observations will be straight dropped because of it. Need to think about different one.

If you are going through the social media route, perhaps facebook likes are a good metric... Facebook came out in 2004!

It's better, but still too little. Also, its hard to meassure facebook liked towards some categories of stuff.

I have thought about it and found few good variables, but they have to little data.

I wanted to get %of lost court cases during divorces, I wanted %of men who won case for child care vs foids and few more like that, showing that women are evil. I have data only to 2008, 10 observations is too little still.

Rate of marriages per year in proportion to the population? Rate of divorces per married couple? Rate of new cases of depression among males? Suicide rates for male populations? New cases of STDs on males? There is a lot of parallel stuff that might be affected on the lives of guys who aren't getting any, maybe you can try to find stuff for those?
