Women can not own beauty, and not be the objects of beauty. Women can not receive extra help without suffering extra dependency. Women can not enjoy extra protection without the extra condescension that goes with it. Women can not take parental primacy, and still have equal time and energy necessary to climb the ladder of success. Men know there's no such thing as a free lunch, men know that whatever they acquire must come at a cost. Its only female naivete that would believe their gifts should come at no cost. But that's not possible. Not even women can have their cake, and eat it too.
