i know its not cause i know scales and know how to improvise and do fun tabs but im just too lazy to do it anymore

ok well sounds like you're already good at guitarcel. But if you don't want to, and don't get enjoyment out of the cope, no need to, find something else to do. It's all cope besides sliding between them walls. I need to get some weed, it makes playing guitar more fun. If you like to play scales and improvise, getting a looper pedal is fun. Of course also being in a full band is best. Before I tried out for a band that had a roastie singer KEK I failed the audition.
