I’m not answering the texts, but even if I don’t, just knowing that I got them raises my anxiety to unmanageable levels.

Because if you are a wagie who doesn’t get back in the cagie on his day off, you will hear about it the next day from your boss and/or coworkers who had a shitty night because you didn’t come in to cover for the stupid foid who probably already managed to convince them that she had a perfectly valid reason for calling into work, and that YOU’RE somehow the asshole for not being the white knight who swoops in to save the company in their time of need.
