She doesn't just want to embarrass him. She wants to CANCEL him from life.

Cancelling is the new public execution. It’s just one step removed from the actual killing part.
Take away everything he has, strip him of his dignity, blacklist him from any potential job..but stop just short of the final blow (which the man will probably end up taking care of himself, with how torturous his life will be after the fact)
