I think it's pretty straightforward. Advertising and marketing help products to sell, and can increase perceived value to a customer. Whether it's to appeal to a man they want or not determines the disgust, but in either case it's important to be perceived as valuable, to obtain what they want.

Women don't hate sex. They just would very much only rather have it with a certain kind of man.
