When you say "high score" you make it sound like a good thing. Surely that's not what you mean, right? Especially seeing as you're a mod?

The VT shooter was noted for explicitly stating in his manifesto that "getting the high score" was important to him, so it was a relevant question. That's you attributing it to be a positive rather than neutral thing. Would it have sounded better if I asked "does he still hold the record for most kills"? In fact, I used the term "terrorist" which actually gives my comment a slightly negative sentiment .

"high score" is something you aim to get in a video game, ergo positive thing.

I don't get why this is even a discussion. Just say "most murdered". Why use positive terminology like "record" or "high score" at all?

it's a euphemism, just like how you say "my uncle passed away" as opposed to "my uncle died"
