Totally understandable. I actually like it and good examples of it, like some Skinny Puppy tracks - but in general the alternative industrial genre, like most genres, is nowhere close to being close to as good as the rare exceptions. For example, I find most opera, country western, Mexican polka, etc just terrible, though there are exceptions.

As for relating that type of emo music to the Incels - I thought it was a perfect match.
