Every time energy changes form heat is produced, right? Electric cars are charged with power from wind, solar, coal, gas, or nuclear or a combination of multiple sources. If that is true, and heat is released each time the energy changes form, then doesn't it follow that electric cars contribute to global warming?

Lithium and rare earth metal mining is terribly expensive and destructive to the environment.

The long term production of lithium batteries is not sustainable. The supply of lithium is limited.

How are electric cars good for the environment when compared to hydrogen cars?
