As a middle-aged man, burdened with decades of ingrained toxic masculinity [blah blah blah]
Hah, gay.
I dabbled in cold water showers in high school. Biggest benefit is to your hair, imo. Hot water + stripping the oil out of your hair leads to damage.
Then more recently, after the polar vortex knocked out our hot water for 6 months, that was not fun at all. It's one thing if it's a choice....
If this pertains to van dwelling, I read an interesting tip about getting a gym membership to use their showers.

I think cold showers can be beneficial. For one thing, you're forcing yourself to do something that is uncomfortable and strengthening your resolve. I've read that there could be other health benefits too.
I often go halfway with the cold showers: start off cold for a few seconds, switch to hot for the majority of the shower, then go back to cold for a little bit before I dry off.
