Sugar (pure refined sugar) is really bad for you. One thing I know it can cause is memory loss. I stopped adding sugar to my cups of tea about 6 years ago and stopped drinking soft drinks like coke and pepsi as well. Although I cant prove it, I suspect sugar and alcohol are contributing factors to cancer as well.
